I know...Check dejanews. Well, I did and there were only a few articles. I looked at both of these machines today and I really fell in love with the Dewalt. It seems extremely well made and I don't really need the "free" stand. The salesman seemed to think that the Dewalt was better for "inside" work and more delicate cuttings while the Delta was better for more heavy duty use. After looking at both saws, I'm not sure what would make the Delta a better saw for heavy duty use (whatever that means...) ... (more) |

There's an ongoing thread over in news.admin.net-abuse.usenet concerning whether posting in HTML constitutes usenet abuse. I've noticed a fair amount of HTML posts here and was wondering if there was a consensus of opinion in rec.woodworking about the issue. Personally, I find it mildly irritating. I can view the posts if I really want to, but usually don't. I assume people using non-HTML aware readers don't care for the practice? ... (more) |

I personally only like to plug batteries into drills. That said, I use a DeWalt and a Panasonic 9.6 drill and neither one has a problem with drilling and putting screws into oak. While I own an old Ryobi AP10 planer, I doubt that I would put thought into purchasing any of their products now. ... (more) |

I have a 18v DeWalt and it's the best thing I ever bought, it will put up holes in your brick walls all day long!!!! Saws similar. You get what you pay for, some cheap 24v with 3 year warrantee on market now, got to be worth a go.
